Over 6,500 arts students sat for the class 12 board exams last year.

The Bhutanese under-20 team suffered yet another defeat in the ongoing SAFF under-20 Women’s Championship. This time at the hands of Nepal. Bhutan conceded two goals in the first half and another two before the end of the match. The defeat leaves Bhutan with little to no chance of making it to the final. The under-20 team will take on Bangladesh in the final group match on Tuesday.

Some of the highways in the country especially in the western and eastern regions are expected to become litter free now. Project DANTAK, apart from doing repair and maintenance works, is going to carry out cleaning campaigns along the highways under its wing. The United Nations office in Bhutan plans to align its key priority areas of its Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2024 to 2028 to Bhutan’s 13th Five-Year Plan. Speaking to BBS, the regional director of the UN’s Development Coordination Office for the Asia Pacific Region, who is on a six-day visit to Bhutan said, the UN has to revaluate its programmes to meet Bhutan’s needs as the country gears up to graduate out of least developed country status this year.
